Through our Grants program, we award grants to TCSD educators and 501c3 organizations interested in for implementing innovative educational projects that benefit Trumansburg students.
Trumansburg Education Foundation Grant Award Guidelines
Proposals to enhance the education of Trumansburg students will be considered provided that the proposed project directly involves and/or benefits students, and cannot be funded through existing avenues of school district support. Projects that are designed to fill gaps in the school budget historically remain unfunded by the Trumansburg Education Foundation.
The most competitive grants are those that reach a large number of TCSD Pre-K-12 students and focus on forward-thinking programming that enhances and supplements the K-12 curriculum. The Trumansburg Education Foundation has supported proposals building collaboration, such as across grade levels, across an entire grade level or department, between community and school, etc. Program proposals should include a detailed budget for implementing the project, including associated materials or technology acquisition.
Trumansburg Education Foundation Grants are awarded on a smaller scale to community organizations, provided the applicant is a 501c3 organization. Partnerships between the Trumansburg School District and community organizations are welcome.
How to Apply
Grants are disbursed twice each year. Grant deadlines are May 31 and November 30 annually, in advance of the Fall or Spring semester when the proposed project is scheduled. To apply, download and complete the Grant Application Form and submit it to the address at the bottom of the form.
Grant applications that are clear and concise regarding the program description, objectives, and number of students impacted have the highest chance of being fully funded. Please provide clear details regarding the overall program budget and how the requested funds from the Trumansburg Education Foundation will be used.
